Pitkin County continues to lead the state in EV ownership per 1,000 residents at 48.97. Boulder is close behind at 44.58, Douglas at 43.62, and Denver with 39.05 per thousand.
With the most populous county in the state, it also leads in total ownership with 26,794, as of May, according to the rankings by Atlas Public Policy, which curates public data to help inform public policy in transportation and other sectors.

New in the last year: none of Colorado’s 64 counties has absolutely no EVS or plug-in hybrids registered. Even Baca County, in extreme southeast Colorado, has 7 registered EVS, and Sedgewick, in the northeast corner, has 4.
And tiny Hinsdale County, where Alferd Packer was found guilty in the courthouse at Lake City of cannibalism, has 4 registered EVs.
